Annie Marie (Blackbear) Weeley, 69, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Grove, OK. She was born on March 31, 1951 in Claremore, OK to her parents, Jim Blackbear and Mary Le Levi-Blackbear. Marie married the love of her life, Leo Weeley on July 5, 1978 and they raised 4 children. She was a lifelong resident of Delaware County. Marie enjoyed listening and singing Cherokee songs. She loved gardening, the color of purple, teaching the kids Cherokee and having long conversations while drinking her coffee. Marie always had a funny story to tell and always unique in her style. She loved her family time and card games. Most importantly she was a prayer warrior and a lady of strong faith that loved the Lord. She was a member of Piney Baptist Church of Jay, OK. Her family and church family will miss her dearly and will keep her memory alive. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Mary Blackbear; her husband, Leo Weeley; brothers, Jimmy, John, Gerald, Joseph, and Richard Blackbear; her sister, Diane Williams. Marie is survived by her 4 children, Mary Weeley, Crystal Weeley, Darsi Woolard of Jay, OK and Mimi Weeley of Langley, OK; 13 grandchildren, Amary, Ashlee, Jasmine, Kristeena, Letisha, Kristian, Cody, Kenneth, Andrah, Audrianah, Serenity, Anthony and Emilio; 6 great-grandchildren, Jacoby, Calvin, Blaze, Theodore, Celia and Ella; 2 sisters, Margaret Goins and Lois Blackbear; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Marie’s Wake Service will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 6:00pm at Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 followed by her family visitation to greet friends until 8:00pm. Marie’s Celebration Of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 2:00pm, Piney Baptist Church, 15630 E 450 Rd. Jay, OK with Pastor Jess Jones, Jr. Officiating. Followed by her funeral procession to Yellow Tree Cemetery, Eucha, OK. Marie’s burial will be at Yellow Tree Cemetery, Eucha, OK. Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
